In 1998, AMMANN asphalt-concrete production complex was assembled and started operating at the company. The plant that meets high EU ecological standards and is equipped with waste-free production technologies is one of the most modern such type plants in Lithuania. The capacity of the complex reaches approximately 240 tons of asphalt concrete per hour.
All production processes are fully automated and computer-controlled, which allows achievement of high quality production. Three-sectional loading container with the capacity of 300 tons, capable of keeping stable consistence of the produced asphalt-concrete for up to 18 hours, ensures intensive and non-stop production process enabling flexible satisfaction of customer needs and simultaneous manufacturing of asphalt concrete of several brands.
In 2006, in the production base of Vilnius UAB Fegda opened the second asphalt concrete production line GLOBAL 160 from AMMANN. Its capacity is 160 tons per hour. It is a compact asphalt concrete plant with transporters and 6 hoppers for materials; it also has two-part thermos storing facilities for 120 tons of hot asphalt. The electronic balance fit to weigh trucks up to 80 tons is connected to the accounting system.
In 2005, the company produced 145 thousand tons of asphalt-concrete. Asphalt produced by the company meets SR-35 requirements. The quality of raw materials and production is regularly controlled by the laboratory, which also develops and improves new formulas of asphalt concrete. At present UAB Fegda is able to offer 14 main asphalt concrete brands and more than 100 of modifications satisfying all needs of the customers.
In 2004, at its asphalt-concrete production base the company opened bitumen modification line SIM AMMANN which produces 7 tons of modified bitumen per hour. Today, the need for modified bitumen is strong as its use in asphalt-concrete pavements increases their high temperature resistance, reduces the probability of cracks, furrows, prolongs the life of the pavement. Asphalt-concrete produced with modified bitumen is used for special pavement constructions, i.e. airports, bridges, pavements for streets with intensive traffic in cities.
